In commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Tokugawa Bakufu (2003) and the 80th anniversary of the founding of The Toyo Bunko (2004), The Toyo Bunko in conjunction with Metropolitan Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward will hold a special exhibition featuring rare and valuable archival materials from mainly its Iwasaki and Morrison Collections. Displays will include ukiyo-e prints by Hokusai, Utamaro and Sharaku, the Japanese Version of Anatomische Tabellen, and printings of Marco Polo's Il Milione.The Exhibition is planned to run from Tuesday 23 December to Monday 12 January 2004 at the Marubiru Hall located on the 7th floor of the Marunouchi Building.
